What was New at the Fort for 1998.

• Sunday 20th of December
  Added four new pictures ('Cloud to the South', 'Cenotaph Statue', 'Oil Tanks by Early Light' & 'Plane Over Clouds') to the Backdrops section.
• Friday 18th of December
  Added a new version (v1.05) of DataPlay into the DataSuite Archive in the Files section.
• Monday 30th of November
  Tweaked the RISC OS in action page slightly to reflect the fact that I am no longer maintaining the Comp.Sys.Acorn FAQ. As a result of this the FAQ has been removed as well and it's listing in the Archives section has been removed as well.

  Here ends nine years worth of work, with barely any comment from the people it was designed to help. Ah well, I really didn't expect anything better somehow - even if I did hope a little.

  Finally I have updated the Cafe del Mar page to have an entry for volume two of the series.

• Monday 23rd of November
  The Comp.Sys.Acorn FAQ has been frozen pending a new maintainer being found for it. The Acorn Machine List has been frozen as well due to the closing of Acorn's workstation division.
• Sunday 1st of November
  Replaced the image of work, featured on the Power/Work page, with one taken by myself. That should remove one of the few images present on my pages not created by myself. I have also re-organised the Archives section and opened a new section in it - the Backdrops section. An area dedicated to providing new backdrops for people to use based on photographs taken by myself.
• Thursday 10th of October
  Corrected a few spelling and grammatical mistakes in the entry for Against a Dark Background which had some quite spectacular mistakes in it.
• Monday 14th of September
  Updated the ARM Chips List to include the currently very sketchy details about the ARM10 processor. Also updated the Brooklyn Windmill page to include details about the recent failiure of the windmill.
• Sunday 16th of August
  The entry for 'Inversions' has been fleshed out with details on the book, bringing the Iain M. Banks standing collection fully up to date again. Also I have begun ensuring that all images have Width and Height attributes set. Thus far only a small section of the site has had this done fully, but gradually I will freshen all the pages. Thus far every page has had it's tag image sized appropriately and the Iain M. Banks collection has been updated properly.

  I have also finally updated a few of the special image tags down in the poetry section.

• Sunday 9th of August
  Updated the CafeDelMar page with an entry for the latest CD in the series. Also adjusted the Iain M. Banks page with an entry for 'Inversions' as well as finishing the entry for A Song of Stone.
• Sunday 2nd of August
  Corrected a few spelling mistakes in the Power sections and tweaked the 'Why a Webfort?' page a little.
• Thursday 16th of July
  Cleaned the Teleport section out of dead links. Everything should be to a valid destination now, at least for a little while anyways.
• Wednesday 17th of June
  Uploaded a new entry on my visit out to Kapiti Island and information about the island in general.
• Sunday 7th of June
  Updated the copy of DataEvent to the latest version of that module. Corrected a link in the Teleport section.
• Sunday 25th of May
  Added images for the A310, A3000 and BBC Master machines to the Acorn Machine List.
• Sunday 19th of April
  Tweaked the pages for their shift to the new home on GeoCities. Updated the ARM Chips List to mention the up and coming Amulet 3 chip.
• Monday 23rd of March
  Added the Brooklyn WindMill page to the Noticeboard.
• Sunday 15th of March
  Tweaked the Acorn Machine List to have an image for the A7000 and noted the existance of the J233 Risc PC machine.
• Wednesday 25th of February
  Updated the Archive pages with a slightly newer version of the DataSuite set of modules and also added a new entry for the DataEvent module. DataEvent goes into open beta release with this.
• Thursday 12th of February
  Uploaded a new comment on 'Sex, Masculinity and Stereotypes' into the Atrium. This one has been gestating a while, so I should warn you it is mildly long.
• Thursday 29th of January
  Updated the entry for Crow Road to correct it's erronious assertion that Prentice spends most of his time away from Gallanach in London. As was kindly pointed out to me he actually spends his time in Glasgow and only worked for a while in London while staying with relatives there. Also tweaked the poem Ship Of Silver to flow a trifle more smoothly now.
• Saturday 17th of January
  Updated the Welcome to Comp.Sys.Acorn document to include the comp.sys.acorn.games FAQ.
• Wednesday 14th of January
  Shifted the old update entries for 1997 into their own file, as is my custom. The entry for Iain Banks' book The Bridge now features images of it's cover. Once I read and review 'A Song of Stone' that will render the collection up-todate again. Also the TTA Books page has been updated to note that it is possible to source copies of the books through Amazon. Which is good news for all those people out there hunting for the books...
