Gallery - Wellington Zoo 500mm

These shots have been gleaned from Wellington Zoo while visiting with my cousin. It was an interesting exercise in working around the limitations of the lens (no autofocus, F8 at all times). Once I can get my hands on a camera back with higher non-grainy ISO speeds it will become very useable. All these shots were done handheld and mostly with a fair bit of grumbling. That said the ability to reach across a large enclosure and get good detail of the various animals is still remarkable.

Featured above are an Iguana, a bird I don't know, Giraffe, a Springbok (I think), African Wild Dogs, Baboon, Merkats and finally an Otter.
